Making of Telangana :: A necessity or political strategy??

Telangana, bigger of all three parts of Andhra Pradesh i.e. Telangana,Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema has become 29th state of India on 18th Feb. 2014 following support from national parties Congress & BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) and TCP (Telangana Communist Party), a local party of state. Telangana movement was started in 1960's due to fear among people of Telangana of being deprived from their rights.

Telangana movement comprises of many reasons. Major part of Godavari and Krishna river lies in Telangana inspite of that if we have a look on  irrigation facilities of different parts of state than Telangana get only about 19% irrigation water.Other factors involve very less participation of people of Telangana region in state government jobs and other high ranks.

At the time of formation of Andhra Pradesh state a deal was signed to give people of Telangana some privilege to enhance growth of this region. But it was not fulfilled as protest of 1969, 1972 etc. shows. But parliament's decision to make Telangana as 29th state would give its citizen power they want. As Telangana part of Andhra Pradesh consist of nearly 41.4% land of the state on which 40.54% population of state live.  As Telangana constitute nearly 67% revenue of state, it can progress a lot in coming years.
