Making of Telangana :: A necessity or political strategy??

Telangana, bigger of all three parts of Andhra Pradesh i.e. Telangana,Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema has become 29th state of India on 18th Feb. 2014 following support from national parties Congress & BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) and TCP (Telangana Communist Party), a local party of state. Telangana movement was started in 1960's due to fear among people of Telangana of being deprived from their rights.

Telangana movement comprises of many reasons. Major part of Godavari and Krishna river lies in Telangana inspite of that if we have a look on  irrigation facilities of different parts of state than Telangana get only about 19% irrigation water.Other factors involve very less participation of people of Telangana region in state government jobs and other high ranks.

At the time of formation of Andhra Pradesh state a deal was signed to give people of Telangana some privilege to enhance growth of this region. But it was not fulfilled as protest of 1969, 1972 etc. shows. But parliament's decision to make Telangana as 29th state would give its citizen power they want. As Telangana part of Andhra Pradesh consist of nearly 41.4% land of the state on which 40.54% population of state live.  As Telangana constitute nearly 67% revenue of state, it can progress a lot in coming years.

Parliament : Constitutional Place OR A Drama Set ????

Parliament as mentioned in the constitution is supreme legislative body in India. It holds the responsibility to make and amend laws of our country and solve other national issues. In-spite of such a status added to it, what we see in daily newspaper is not which bill passed or which law amended but only about disruptions in the parliament proceedings.Track record of parliament proceedings says that 38% of scheduled time lost due to disruptions.

Some of our politicians are so well educated and laborious and have will to transform the country. But what we saw yesterday was all opposite to this. Mirchi spray on Telangana Bill was not the act of an educated person. Is it a way of showing agitation in such a holy place? This shows how much our country is lacking in moral values that even our representatives are behaving in such a manner.

WHO is answerable to these disruptions? No one will take initiative and try to better the situation. In that case parliament should make laws to protect the reputation of the parliament. Because no other option is left. We can't give moral lecture to politician. But there is always a ray of hope even in darkness.

New Political Wave in India

We saw a dramatic change in Delhi polls, where AAP(Aam Aadmi Party) emerged triumphant breaking old tradition of politics in India. As we all know India is a parliamentary democratic republic, in-spite of that if we run our eyes on history of Indian politics than we will find that only two parties Congress and BJP ruled the country in past 66 years.Sometime I feel that we are still serf, only difference is that in 19th century we were enslaved in the hand of Britishers and now it is the policies of the political parties which decides our destiny. So what we saw on 9th DEC 2013 was a culmination of all what other parties has done until now.Disclosure of AAP was thus evident in this regard.

WHAT made people vote for AAP was the hope which was lying deep inside their heart of having a good and corruption less government.Other factor which encouraged people to vote AAP was clean picture of Arvind Kejriwal, portraying a common man with his words and gesture. More than that was the option which citizens had now as AAP.

Now it is like an exam for CM Arvind Kejriwal to deliver what he promised in his rallies before elections.Though it is a arduous duty to perform & transform our capital in a way never before.Because if he provides even 70 % of what he assured people of, that will be more than what political parties have done in Delhi until now.I think the only thing in which AAP is lacking is experience of politics because nearly 80 % of MLA's of have no experience at all.So, that can affect their policy making procedure. But, let us hope for the best.
